“Ex Manchester City captain endorses Club”
The Club is pleased to announce that ex-Manchester City star Steve
Redmond has endorsed the Club with his name and support. This is great
news for the Club and everyone involved. It supports all the hard work
and investment that has gone into setting up a Club that puts its young
players first.
“When I was at the age of the players at Discount Windows
Juniors, there were no Clubs anywhere near as organised and
professionally run as this Club, and I’m yet to come across many today.
For a Young Player with potential, Discount Windows JFC is the perfect
Club that has it all. It has the use of excellent facilities to both
play and train on, qualified and experienced coaching staff, a positive
and coherent management team with excellent administrative support. The
Club is also strongly funded and well equipped. That is why I have
endorsed Discount Windows Junior Football Club and continue to support
it’s methods, good practice and protocol and recommend the Club to any
young player or parent”.
Steve
started his football career at the age of 14 with Manchester City and
signed his first professional contract at 17 with the Main Road Club.
Steve enjoyed 10 successful years at the Club and was the youngest ever
Player to become captain. In all, Steve experienced 20 years of
Top-Flight football playing with and against some of the Premierships
best.
Steve can still be seen today on television playing and competing in
the Masters Cup.

Steve will be one of our many specialists to visit the Club to offer
expert advice to both Players and Parents, and during pre-season Steve
will perform a coaching session for the Players so that they can sample
exactly what the Premiership Players do when they go to work.
