May I take the opportunity to welcome you to DISCOUNT WINDOWS JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB & DEVELOPMENT CENTRE, a Club built on the same building blocks as the Club sponsor and financial backer The Discount Window Centre. This young dynamic company owes its overwhelming success to three key areas:

• A methodical and meticulously well organised, and disciplined organisation.
• Excellent caring management surrounded by exceptional personnel.
• Solid financial stability.

The company already has sponsorship interests in motor sport and now football. So why football? As well as Chairman to the Football Club I am also the company director, a parent “of a young daughter and therefore not building a team around a son” and a very keen football fan. This combination as well as access to funding, puts me in a privileged position to run a potentially highly successful Football Club.

My aim is to give the best opportunity to some of the more talented young kids from the Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens area who have an appetite to further learn, master and enjoy the greatest kids game in the world but are not yet signed to a professional club. Although this newly formed club is ambitious and wants to bring home plenty of silverware, the club strongly exercises the fact that football is also about fun and enjoyment.

To help keep up the enjoyment as well as improve players technical and social skills the club will be arranging plenty of social activities, seaside style summer camp tournaments, presentation evenings, local and International competitions.

In addition to the usual set up of Team Managers, Assistant Managers, Coaches, I have recruited 2 of the most experienced people in Junior Football to help orchestrate the operation.
Teaching and overseeing all training and coaching will be ex-Everton FC Health & Fitness UEFA. B. Coach Jeff Leathley. Jeff is also qualified in personal training, diet analysis & nutritional management as well as other English FA certification for treatment and management of injuries.

We have also recruited as the clubs Director of Football Joe Makin from the massively successful Reddish Vulcans Junior Football Club ( for info purposes – www.reddishvulcans.com ), based in the Greater Manchester area, and generally regarded as one of the most successful Junior Football Clubs in the country. Joe is a very good friend of mine and has over 15 years experience of Junior Football and who also holds an FA Coaching badge. Joe has played and still continues to play a major part in the success of Reddish Vulcans 18 team-empire. Joe has also seen his own son grow-up through junior football and as a young teenage prodigy is already on the fringes of first team professional football at Morecombe. Joe has been appointed Director of Football for Discount Windows Junior Football Club to advise the club on issues that will keep the club on course to meet all of its aims and objectives throughout the season.

I also hope that once more team have been put together that parents, guardians and family members also get involved by replacing some of the temporary committee members we have filled such as Club Secretary, Treasurer, Press Officer, Tournament Organiser and Social Events Co-ordinator.

The Club will also be encouraging Parents to gain qualifications through the FA Football Development Programme and fund were necessary to improve the depth and quality of our Coaching capacity.

We have facilitated the Club with the best training facilities and equipment in the area and centrally located for players from the Liverpool, Knowsley & St Helens surrounding areas. These sports facilities offers a safe and clean environment, players will also have the use of enclosed floodlit Astro turf and indoor gymnasium when required for training and coaching purposes or when the seasonal climate changes.

Each player will receive at NO cost, Full Playing Strips as well as tracksuit and other sports clothing for training. Styling and presentation of kits etc has been designed with IMAGE in mind. Special players should look as well as feel special.

The Club operates under the English and County FA regulations as well as the enrolled league, in which the clubs competes. All coaching and management staff operate, and comply with the Child Protection Policy Programme, has its own Code of Conduct for parents and players, supports a strict “non bullying” and “kick racism out of football” policy. The club also holds Public Liability Insurance.
