IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PRESCOT LANGUAGE SCHOOL
The Development Centre is a none profit making community venture, which runs on Saturday mornings and is open to all youngsters between the ages of 6yrs and 15yrs who want to improve their football skills, even players attached to other clubs are welcome. Players attending the Centre also have the opportunity to apply to play for one of our squad teams who train at the Centre during mid-week. Quite often youngsters who attend Development Centres purely at first as an activity decide after a period of time they want to join a competitive team and find the opportunity of being able to play for one of our squad teams a great benefit.
The Club Teams and Development Centre is headed by UEFA’B’ qualified Jeff Leathley, Ex-Everton FC Community Youth Coach. Jeff is supported by other FA qualified coaches and University Trainee Sports Teachers on a volunteer basis. Jeff also helps train-up our parents and volunteers who manage and assist our Junior Football Teams. This is a great opportunity for future parents and volunteers who want to get involved with their own youngsters or any other team.
The Club and Development Centre are in partnership with Prescot Language School and have links with other local schools and Hope University. Our joint venture gives the Club access to Leading Edge Indoor and Outdoor Sports Facilities to accommodate the Club during our unpredictable seasonal climate. Our joint partnerships also give the Club access to substantial funding to continue improving facilities and equipment as well as being able to offer players, parents, family and friends alternative activities at the same time as training is taking place.
